Who is Michael Badnarik?

Life is full of defining moments.

One of my life defining moments was the first time I watched the seven hour constitution class given by Michael Badnarik. Quite frankly, Badnarik changed my way of thinking on many matters political. Michael is a keen intellect, an amazing extemporaneous speaker and a quality human being.

Michael Badnarik secured the Libertarian Party Presidential nomination in 2003 and traveled over 25,000 miles campaigning across the U.S. in the 15 months leading up to the party's' National Convention in Atlanta. Although Michael was clearly the underdog, he won the nomination after three close ballots.

Michael continued his underdog status in the national campaign. Despite appearing on the ballot in 48 states, more than Ralph Nader, as his candidacy was blacked out by the mainstream media. Frustrated by the bipartisan control of the electoral process, he tried to serve process papers on Commission on Presidential Debates officials in a lawsuit protesting the exclusion of significant third party candidates from the debates. Badnarik and David Cobb, the Green Party nominee, were arrested and handcuffed attempting to peacefully cross the police line surrounding the St. Louis debate. Despite this unprecedented challenge to the legitimacy of the debates, the media virtually censored this story.

Michael has written an amazing book, entitled "Good To Be King." While it can be difficult to find, it is a tremendous primer for understanding the principles of Liberty, and highly recommended for the library of every patriot. (CLICK HERE for a sample - Chapter 2 "Rights & Privileges.")

I had the tremendous opportunity to meet Michael Badnarik and become friends with him in November of 2009 at the Third Continental Congress, where he presided as President. I consider myself fortunate to call Michael a friend, and look forward to continuing to be inspired by him - and learn from him - as time moves on.

In December of 2009, Michael suffered a serious heart attack. While he is now recovering and will no doubt return to full activity over the course of time, his sudden illness has been a primary motivating factor in updating this web site and starting the Paradigm Shift podcast. As a matter of fact, while we will all eventually pass from this plane of existence, none of us know when our time may be up. If you have something to say, better to get up on your soapbox when the opportunity presents itself, rather than wait for the right moment and have time pass you by.

I urge you to visit Michael's official website: constitutionpreservation.org. I furthermore urge you to read his articles as published in Republic Magazine, and if you can, attend one of his Constitution Classes in person. "Lighting the fires of Liberty, one heart at a time," is an oft-repeated slogan of Michael's, and there's no better way to experience the roaring fire that is Michael Badnarik than up close and personal.

Simply put, Michael is one of the most important voices in the modern patriot movement.Michael Badnarik Constitution Class Videos
