I was and am very proud of my involvement with Continental Congress 2009 as one of two elected Delegates from the State of Washington. Convened in St. Charles, Illinois – our up-front, stated goal was to defend, not amend the constitution. For 10 long days, broadcast to an international audience via the web (see complete archive HERE), we researched, debated and documented violations of the U.S. Constitution, and crafted specific remedial instructions to both Federal and State governments, as well as to the people.
The resulting document is the Artices of Freedom:

I firmly believe that this amazing document could potentially change our nation in a profound and dramatic fashion. But like anything else – even our constitution, it's just a "piece of paper." The determining factor will not be its inception or its creation... it will be its ingegration into our lives, and how we, as a free people, choose to hold our government accountable using the information and instructions contained within.
Of the fifteen articles that comprise the Artices of Freedom, if even a fraction were enacted at the state or Federal level, our nation would be returned to a place far more consistent with what the founding fathers envisioned for us. As it stands, politicans have morphed the United States of America from a land of Liberty and Freedom to something that more closely resembles a socialist or communist police state. (And don't take my word for it, those words practially came from the cover of two Newsweek magazines of the past 12 months.) I don't know about you, but I have no interest in living under any of those conditions.
Furthermore, as the constitution says, I don't want this just for myself. I wish to "secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity..." namely, my children. And their children. And YOUR children. But you have to stand up and be counted with me to make this work.
On other pages I will eventually document my involvement in Continental Congress 2009, and invite you to read up on that as your time permits. However, there I was but one of 114 dedicated patriots. THE MOST IMPORTANT thing you can do is read, and act on the Articles of Freedom Download the PDF
While the viewable document from Issuu (above) is a pretty spiffy way of viewing the Articles of Freedom, there's nothing better than having an electronic copy of your own to read, print and distribute among family, friends and colleagues.
